Building Grace Harbor.

Grace Harbor is now open!

The new center provides a 50-bed residential program for women with life-controlling issues like drug & alcohol addiction in the Teen Challenge multi-month program, plus 42 beds for homeless and at-risk women and women with children on a day-to-day basis.

Positioned in the heart of downtown Watsonville, Teen Challenge will also use the 20,000 square foot space to run the Lighthouse Treasures Shoppe, the Rustic Table Restaurant, as well as being home for a Pregnancy Resource Center.

Grace Harbor Floor Plan

What is Teen Challenge?

Teen Challenge Monterey Bay is a long-term residential program and we serve men, women, and women with children with life controlling issues. Teen Challenge Monterey Bay does not charge people to participate in its programs and seeks support primarily by voluntary contributions (financial and material) from friends like you, including individuals, corporations, churches and foundations.

The Program

The program consists of 4 phases, each are 3 months long. It is a 13 month minimum program. Freedom Women’s Center will continue to operate and will focus on crisis & intake. New women to the Teen Challenge program will spend their first month there. Then move to Grace Harbor to start Phase 1 & 2 in the full time Christian Discipleship program which also includes work projects. Phase 3 is where women choose their track, this could be an apprenticeship, working for an employer, choosing ministry or education, some women finish High School and gain their GED, others continue courses in college. In phase 4, women can work full time in employment, education or ministry. The family and support that women experience at Teen Challenge is an important part of their healing. Many women become Interns at Teen Challenge and enjoy serving women on the program, outreach to the homeless community and growing in their faith in a supportive environment.

For further information about the Teen Challenge Monterey Bay program for women, please see Freedom Women’s Center.

Operationally Self-Sustaining

We earn approximately 90% of our budget through work projects and enterprises, where our students learn skills and how to support themselves upon the completion of their program.

  • TCMB does not receive any government funding.
  • We do not charge our students anything; their program is completely free.
  • All donations sent to our center are tax deductible.
  • By supporting us you are partnering with us as we continue to save lives and support the underprivileged.

“This program is amazing! It has taught me so much, but the most important thing is the hole that has been filled with Jesus Christ” Lisa, Graduate TCMB

Thank you.

Teen Challenge Monterey Bay is grateful & appreciates your support and partnership.
